WHAT SETS US APART FROM OTHER CHIROPRACTORS?
At Palisades Chiropractic we utilize a gentle and specific form of chiropractic called upper cervical chiropractic. This technique is effective in balancing out the structure of the body which then allows the nerves to get the optimal communication from the brain. Even though the technique focuses primarily on the alignment of the top two vertebrae, the effect is felt throughout the body.
With the proximity of the top vertebra to the brain stem, the correction of the misalignment can have a profound effect. The brainstem houses the postural control center for our body so when there is a misalignment in this area it can create tighter muscle on one side of the body in comparison to the other. This muscular imbalance could result in uneven shoulders, uneven hips, and uneven legs’ length. When this is left untreated it could alter movement and irritate spinal nerves and joints producing pain, numbness, weakness, or tingling sensations.
Upper cervical care has been proven to provide fascinating results with conditions that were unsolvable with traditional therapies. Schedule a consultation today and find out more about upper cervical care. It might be exactly what you are looking for.
1) Atlas Listing
Upper Cervical care is a method that uses elaborate neck x-rays to find the "Atlas Listing". This is a calculated measurement we obtain from the x-rays and is used to align the spine with gentle and specific treatment. This is a long-term solution for pain relief.
2) Uneven Spine
When the spine is misaligned, the effects can be shown all over the body. This includes uneven shoulders, hips, leg length, and even tilted head placement. Spinal misalignment is the cause of hundreds of conditions that cause aches and pains. Do you think that your spine is out of balance?
3) Atlas Adjustment
Using a very gentle instrument we make contact with the atlas bone, the top bone of the neck, to perfectly align the head and neck. This adjustment does not include POPPING or CRACKING of the spine.
Our patients are usually surprised at how gentle the treatment is, as it focuses on tapping with a tool we use right behind the ear.
4) Spinal Alignment
After the adjustment is completed- the head and neck are aligned, in-turn the rest of your spine is aligned. Our patients usually feel that they stand taller, and walk differently. Upon rechecking the patient's hip alignment after treatment we find their hips now are EVEN. This correction resolves a lot of neuromuscular conditions.
